Adjusting screw

Adjusting screws are used, for example, when levelling ceilings and walls on an uneven substrate and when mounting structures, such as casings, without stress or distortion. These screws have many similarities with distance screws. Both are made of hardened, galvanized steel to achieve a high-quality result.

Adjusting screws have a special tip that does away with the need for pre-drilling in most wood types. Adjusting screws can keep being adjusted after they have been set. First tighten the screw up then reverse back to the desired distance. The rings below the head keep hold of the attachment, so that it mirrors the movements of the screw going in and out. But make sure that the screw stays deep enough in the substrate. further benefit of the adjusting screw is that you no longer need to use wedges and blocks.
